Amador Astronomical Society Membership

The Hourglass Nebula

AAS is the oldest astronomical society in Amador County. It was founded in 1994 by local enthusiasts and currently has members from all over the area. Annual AAS membership for families or individuals is currently FREE. This includes benefits such as community star parties, Star-B-Q's, "dark sky observing" at Peddler Hill and other locations within and without the county. If you would like more information, or are interested in joining the AAS, contact:

Mars

Do you like to share your knowledge and love of the stars? Do you like people? AAS community outreach includes offering a variety of educational programs designed to introduce astronomy to anyone with an interest. Members have the opportunity to volunteer and share their interest in astronomy with children and families of local elementary schools.

Saturn

If you possess a curious mind, a pair of binoculars, a telescope that you never could get to work right, or something much larger, consider joining AAS. We all possess one common interest, a desire to share the knowledge and wonder of astronomy.
